From last post, many of you were curious what I do for a school assembly. It just so happens that I can show you. In the fall I did an assembly at the Brooklyn Friends School in New York City that was live webcast to 100+ other schools through School Library Journal. SLJ has the webcast archived, and you can view it for free. You need to register to view it. If you see it let me know what you think, 'cause I will not be watching it. 'Cause it's my own voice and face.
(Friday is the premiere of Austenland at the Sundance Film Festival. I will report back to you on Monday. Excited and nervous, excited and nervous...)

I am so pumped for you and your movie!! I love the cast! I can't wait to see it! Austenland will do so well at Sundance that by next weekend I can see it in my home theater!! :) Shannon Hale is unstoppable!! :)

Thank you for letting us know where to find the webcast. It was entertaining and educational, but most of all...honest. I always wondered what it was like for an author/ school visit, so this was perfect. Thank you again, Mrs. Hale.

I'm excited for you! The theater will be full of lucky people! My bookclub friends and I tried to buy tickets online and by the time we were all allowed to purchase tickets the show times we could attend were sold out! Way to be popular and in demand! I used so many exclamation points just now!

I just watched the webcast. I enjoyed seeing your presentation - you did a great job!

Any chance you'll be going to the showing in Ogden? I was lucky enough to score tickets for myself, my mom and my two sisters and I am so excited I can barely stand it. :)

I guess you won't be coming to Frederick any time soon, heck, not many people I'be met have even heard of it, but it would be amazing and unforgettable! *sigh* ;) That would be so cool!

I just finished watching the webcast. It was great fun. Thanks. Every once in a while I would stop the playback and turn to my husband (who is working next to me and probably shouldn't be disturbed) and say something like, "Did you know that you don't get an acceptance letter, you get a phone call?" I also loved the story of the fan mail from the nuns.

Congrats at your awesome and exciting showing at the Sundance Film Festival. I just watched you and the cast in a Q&A segment online. I can't wait to see it for myself. I look forward to watching your school webcast as well. Great job!

Wow, it must feel amazing to sit in a theater and watch a movie based on your book. I'm sure it's scary too, though. Any chance you'll be doing any book signings in NC? I think I just missed you several months ago when you came to SC. It's a shame that you (one of my favorite authors!) lives so far away! Oh well. Congrats again about your movie! I wish you the best of luck!
