Dean and I revamped the blog, in part so it'd be easier to upkeep. It had a Facebook "like" button (as one squeetuser smartly suggested) but it was buggy. I just removed it after a few days of 0 likes and generally feeling like a junior high student again. Is it the braces? The stringy hair? Bad breath? Is something hanging out of my nose? You can still "like" individual posts but not the whole blog. Typepad, can you fix that please?
Working this week on copy edited manuscript of Palace of Stone. It's still kind of thrilling to me to write that title! We have lots of cool stuff planned for it this year, I can't wait. But just two more days to check the copy edits so I must go.
Lots of signings coming up. I'll be at Dolly's in Park City on Friday night and Deseret Book in both Layton and Bountiful on Saturday. Check my events page for details. And Utah writers, don't miss Writing for Charity this year! A real bargain and going to be so great. Thanks SO MUCH to all who came to the King's English launch! I want to post pics when I get a sec.

I like it:) It will take some getting used to, but it looke=s really nice!

Nice! I guess there was a lot of blank space on the old layout.

are you doing any signings in logan???

I read your posts in google reader because I'm lazy so I actually clicked through and it looks nice and clean and easy to navigate.
Also, my kids have been sick for the past ever and I'm number 57438 on the hold list at the library and I needed something to look forward to so I drove to Barnes and Noble and bought Midnight in Austenland (I left my diseased children in the car while I bought the book and since that's illegal it made the whole experience that much more thrilling)and came home and read it and I loved it! I'm conflicted between being eternally grateful that you are so smart and funny and willing to publish books for me to love and being completely jealous of your mad skills and dedication. You are so rad.

I've been lurking for awhile. LOVE the new format. Started loving your work when I was given "Goose Girl" (a book recommended by YOUR sister Katie to MY sister Amy) and have been hooked ever since. Just downloaded MIA - Yippee! Can't wait for Austenland - Congratulations!!

When will the interview with KCPW be broadcast? That's where my dial is set (I'm such a fogey) as they always air the BBC news while I'm putting the kitchen back together once the kids have all been anesthetized...I mean tucked-in.
I'd love to hear what you've got to say in your interview, so keep us informed of when to tune in!

One more thing...I read Kat,Incorrigible (thanks to your posted reading list a few weeks ago) and thought it was deliciously charming and oh, such an escape! I loved its nods to Northanger Abbey and the sinister villain who always smelled of charred beef! Hee hee!
I e-mailed Stephanie Purgis to thank her for writing such a pleasure of a book, and she wrote back the loveliest message! I can't wait to check out more finds on your list. It's always such bliss to glean solid recommendations, so thanks!
Have you read House of Tailors yet by Patricia Reilly Giff? I listened to it on tape last month and it was really well-done. Keep your recommendations coming as you come across other keepers.
And the new design looks chic as ever! With a photo that's darling as ever--skinny minny! You're too cute! I always want to get away with wearing scarves but I'm not quite bold enough. YET.

I am smiling ear to ear in enthusiasm that you will be visiting near me! I INTEND to be there. However, I have a little girl due shortly before the event, so, we'll see...

I love your outfit! It is so cute. I love scarves! You are so pretty and such an inspiration to me! Keep being you.

Any idea which day you'll be signing at Book Expo?? I've had nearly every female in my world read Princess Academy and make sure it's never on the shelf in the library. My library only gives us one day at BEA and knowing which day you'd be there would heavily weigh in on which day I choose! Can't wait for Palace of Stone!
