And thanks, all, for your insightful and oft times passionate thoughts on twitter! I did secure @haleshannon as someone suggested (shannonhale being taken by an apparent doppelganger), but haven't employed it yet, as I am still pondering.

It's always so interesting to see what they pick. Huh, go figure.
I mean, congratulations to all the winners.

I was so excited to see the announcement this morning! I'm looking forward to reading these books...can't wait to check them out of the library.
Oh, and if you want, @shannon_hale isn't taken on twitter yet....

Yay Libba! I'll have to pick up the winners and honorable soon.
I just finished rereading FB, and fell in love with Bayern again. Sometimes I forget just how much I love it, then the girls speak from my book shelf, "Come! Hear our words!". Last reading made a hard time easier to pass. Thank you for that blessing.
Thanks for the post, Shannon.

I just finished When You Reach Me yesterday! I'm on the waiting list for Going Bovine. Can't wait to read it, I've heard so much buzz about it!

I forgot, too (about the awards)! Thanks for posting the news. And that is awesome about Going Bovine. I finished it a couple weeks ago and thought it was fantastic: clever, witty, hilarious, beautiful, insightful. I couldn't even come up with enough adjectives. So congrats to Libba!

I notice that both the Newbery and Printz winners are on your "2009 Great Reads" lists. Did the committees consult you? Or maybe they just read your blog.
And I'm delighted to see Marla Frazee receive another honor. I love her work.

More books to put on the "To Read" list. Always a good thing.
